Overview Join our legal team as a Legal Secretary/Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be vital in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our law office. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, while also providing comprehensive administrative and legal support across several practice areas (bankruptcy, family, criminal, and estate planning). Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional service and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Duties Greet clients, visitors, and callers with professionalism, providing excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills to manage inquiries efficiently Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates, coordinating calendars for two attorneys and departments Prepare, proofread, and review legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail Manage legal case files using document management systems such as PCLaw, ensuring accurate data entry and filing Handle confidential information with integrity while supporting project management tasks related to litigation or transactional matters Assist with legal administrative support tasks such as transcription, proofreading, document review, data entry, and maintaining organized files for easy retrieval Experience Proven legal support experience with familiarity in general litigation and knowledge of Bankruptcy filings. Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative background preferred; familiarity with legal case management software including PCLaw is highly desirable Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with strong word processing and legal writing skills Experience handling client communication professionally while maintaining confidentiality at all times Demonstrated ability to support attorneys through document drafting, proofreading, transcription, filing, and clerical tasks Knowledge of procedural law processes across various practice areas enhances your effectiveness in this role Experience with MetLife Legal Plans This paid position invites motivated individuals eager to grow their legal administrative expertise while contributing to a team dedicated to excellence. $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
