Legal Secretary / Receptionist Hazard, Kentucky | Full-Time Join a Respected Local Law Firm We are seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Legal Secretary/Receptionist to become an important part of our team. If you enjoy helping people, are comfortable using computers, and take pride in being organized and dependable, we'd love to hear from you. No legal experience is required. We are happy to train the right person who has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, is dependable and punctual, and has a willingness to learn. This position is ideal for someone looking for a long-term career in a professional office environment. Responsibilities As our Legal Secretary/Receptionist, you will: Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally and courteously. Welcome clients and visitors while providing excellent customer service. Draft, format, and proofread letters, correspondence, and legal documents using Microsoft Word. Maintain both electronic and paper client files with accuracy. Schedule appointments, court dates, meetings, and manage attorney calendars. Prepare and send mail, emails, and other correspondence. Enter and update client information in the firm's case management system. Scan, copy, file, and organize legal documents. Order office supplies and help maintain a clean, professional office. Assist attorneys and staff with administrative and clerical duties as needed. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Strong Microsoft Word and general computer skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Dependable attendance and punctuality. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Experience in an office, receptionist, or customer service position. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
