Moore & Van Allen - 3.7 Charlotte, NC Job Details Full-time 9 hours ago Qualifications No experience needed Entry level Under 1 year Full Job Description Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking a document clerk / paralegal assistant to support our litigation team in the Charlotte, NC office.
Job Responsibilities:
Organizing and processing documents Preparing binders for current or closed transactions Preparing preliminary drafts of correspondences and legal documents Conducting preliminary research to support cases, under guidance of a paralegal or attorney Helping to maintain efficient workflows and ensures accurate documentation within legal transactions Regular in-person attendance is required to perform essential functions of this interactive position.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor degree is required Prior litigation experience, not required, however clerical experience is a plus. Interest in attending law school in a few years is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary. It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. The work at times requires bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights. Retrieve and replace objects from shelves up to 8 feet high. Capacity to lift objects weighing up to 20lbs May need to work more than the standard 37.5 hours per week to accomplish essential duties of the position.
