JOB DUTIES
include but are not limited to: Proofread and correct prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, syntax and content Support and preparation of pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, requests and responses to discovery requests E-Filing at all levels of state and federal courts Compose routine letters and memoranda Schedule and arrange meetings and conferences, as well as depositions, arbitrations/mediations and notify interested parties Prepare trial notebooks and exhibit listings for case preparation Prepare and assemble materials, documents and exhibits for meetings, court appearances and hearings Prepare table of contents and table of authorities Transcription Scanning, filing and indexing case documents Travel arrangements, including transportation and making hotel reservations
QUALIFICATIONS
: Strong knowledge of local and state rules of court, some federal experience; e-filing and calendaring requirements for all court jurisdictions, including knowledge of PACER Insurance defense experience a plus, but not required Excellent proofreading, organizational skills and strong attention to details Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Laserfiche, West Law Doc & Form Builder is a plus, but not required High level communication skills (both oral and written) Ability to determine work priorities and multitask Able to work well and collaborate with other staff Excellent work ethic - can be depended upon, whether in or out of the office Experience in criminal court filings and Pitchess Motions a plus, but not required.
