This position provides high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling sophisticated state and federal matters, with additional exposure to regulatory work as needed. The office offers a hybrid schedule of two days in office, three remote after an initial six month in the role. Essential Responsibilities Prepare, format, proofread, and electronically file pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery documents, correspondence, and other legal documents. Manage litigation calendars and docketing systems, tracking court dates, filing deadlines, and other critical deadlines. Coordinate attorney schedules, meetings, depositions, court appearances, and travel arrangements. Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal teams. Monitor and route incoming calls, emails, and mail, ensuring timely follow-up. Assist with attorney time entry, billing review, expense reconciliation, and other matter-related administrative tasks. Provide support across multiple attorneys and matters while adapting to changing priorities. Assist with regulatory matters and other projects as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years of litigation legal assistant experience, preferably supporting California state and federal matters. Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Hands-on experience with state and federal court filings and e-filing procedures. Strong understanding of litigation processes, deadlines, and court procedures. Experience supporting multiple attorneys and matters in a deadline-driven environment. Willingness to work additional hours when necessary to meet critical deadlines. Familiarity with platforms such as NetDocuments, Aderant, Intapp, Chrome River/Emburse, or comparable legal software is a plus.
