Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in legal administrative tasks, with experience in various areas of law, including probate, deeds and basic estate planning. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our law office and providing exceptional support to our attorneys. Duties Provide administrative support to attorneys by managing schedules, appointments, and correspondence. Prepare and proofread legal documents, including, but not limited to, Deeds, Wills, Contracts, Pleadings, and Motions. Maintain accurate records and files in compliance with legal standards. Manage billing and invoicing processes for clients. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to assist attorneys effectively. Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals. Skills Proven experience in a law office or legal administrative role is highly desirable. Excellent proofreading skills with keen attention to detail. Proficient in document management software and legal research tools. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills for interviewing clients and liaising with various stakeholders. Familiarity with litigation processes and procedures is beneficial. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Benefits:
Paid time off Application Question(s): Available 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Thursday. Closed Fridays.
