Job Description

Reports To:
Office AdministratorResponsibilities:
Assist multiple attorneys in all stages of litigation from onset through post-trial and appeal. Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents and correspondence including letters, memos, briefs, pleadings, motions, discovery, notices, and reports.

Organize and maintain electronic and/or paper files.

Maintain and track schedules, deadlines, and calendars for multiple attorneys. Schedule meetings and conferences for multiple attorneys.

Coordinate travel arrangements for multiple attorneys.

Enter, edit, and/or finalize billable time and client billings, adhering to Outside Counsel Guidelines for multiple clients, for self and multiple attorneys.

Maintain confidentiality of work product.

Utilize litigation databases and e-discovery platforms, including searches, loading transcripts, and coding documents. Ensure compliance with federal and state rules of procedures and evidence for document format, content, and filing. Assist with other department activities as needed, and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members both in person and in a remote environment.

Ability to handle and adjust to competing deadlines and priorities. Willingness to learn complex processes and related documentation, and to analyze and review documents. Demonstrates a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, professionalism, and judgment. Strong attention to detail; excellent organizational and project management skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Prior experience in litigation and appellate matters preferred. Knowledge of ABA Litigation Codes for proper assignment to matters. Experience with eDiscovery platforms, coding, document review, searches, and document productions using platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and video conferencing platforms. Some overtime may be required. High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or certificate in paralegal studies preferred.
