We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to support our legal team in delivering high-quality services.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys with daily administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and maintaining files.
  • Draft, prepare, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal procedures.
  • Manage electronic and paper filing systems, ensuring all documents are organized and accessible.
  • Conduct legal research and gather information necessary to assist in case preparation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, maintaining professional communication and ensuring their needs are addressed promptly.
  • Assist in preparing for meetings, hearings, and trials by organizing materials and coordinating logistics.
  • Maintain and update client records and case management databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with court personnel, clients, and other legal professionals to facilitate case progress.
  • Handle telephone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support billing and accounting functions, including tracking billable hours and processing invoices.
  • Ensure office supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a legal secretary or administrative assistant in a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal research tools, and case management software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with local court systems and procedures.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.
  • Experience with legal billing software and e-filing systems.
