Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Legal Secretary will assist by communicating with clients and staff, maintaining the office, performing administrative activities, and assisting with basic document preparation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Answering phones and transferring calls to relevant parties. Maintaining the front desk and greeting visitors or clients. Maintaining the office. Assisting attorneys and clients during in-office meetings. Assisting paralegals and attorneys with document preparation as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment. Ability to self-motivate and function autonomously. Eager to learn new processes and adapt to firm's methods. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree preferred High School Diploma or GED required Previous administrative and/or customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Coker, Robb & Cannon is an equal opportunity employer.
