Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This is a Contract to permanent position that offers an opportunity to work in a highly detail-oriented and secure environment. The ideal candidate will support a team of attorneys with a focus on litigation defense, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and efficient handling of legal processes. Apply today! Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation-related tasks, including e-filing and court filings, with precision and adherence to deadlines.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management and coordination of schedules.
- Handle attorney time entry and collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate records.
- Utilize NetDocs software to organize and maintain legal documents and files.
- Assist with dictation and other legal transcription tasks as required.
- Coordinate workload distribution among attorneys to ensure balance and efficiency.
- Perform general office duties in a detail-oriented business environment.
- Uphold security protocols and procedures in a highly secured building, including daily item scanning.
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and external parties to ensure seamless workflow. Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably with litigation defense expertise.
- Proficiency in e-filing and court filing processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple attorneys' schedules and workloads.
- Familiarity with legal document management software, such as NetDocs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling time entry and billing tasks.
- Ability to work in a highly secured environment and adhere to strict security protocols.
- Detail-oriented approach and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with attorneys, staff, and external parties.
