Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established local law firm seeking a highly organized and professional Legal Secretary / Legal Administrative Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced office environment, thrives on organization, and takes pride in providing exceptional administrative support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working with confidential information while supporting attorneys and clients with day-to-day legal and administrative tasks. Legal secretary experience is preferred, but candidates with strong administrative experience in other professional office settings are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Prepare, proofread, and format legal correspondence and documents Manage attorney calendars, appointments, meetings, and court deadlines Maintain and organize client files, both electronic and paper Answer phones, greet clients, and provide professional customer service Draft letters and other routine correspondence File legal documents and ensure deadlines are met Coordinate with clients, courts, and outside agencies Perform data entry, scanning, copying, and other administrative support duties Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Qualifications Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or in a professional office environment Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills Experience working in a law office or familiarity with legal terminology is a plus but not required
