This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Follow up on outstanding patient accounts and insurance balances Analyze billing information to ensure completeness and accuracy Process insurance claims, payments, adjustments, and refunds Post payments and reconcile accounts Verify daily charges and transmit claims for billing Read, interpret, and apply insurance contracts and payer guidelines Generate and prepare billing and collection reports Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies Work closely with providers, managers, and staff to resolve insurance and billing issues Maintain accurate patient account records Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality requirements Establish professional goals and contribute to team initiatives Experience Experience in medical office or healthcare billing Familiarity with CPT coding and ICD-10 coding, and their application in clinical settings Experience working with EHR systems for documentation and billing purposes Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and insurance claim processes Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex medical information accurately Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 1-3 years of healthcare, medical billing, insurance, or related operations experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent customer service skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to prioritize workload effectively Reliable attendance record Ability to work an occasional Saturday What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys solving problems.
