The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, with proficiency in handling various billing systems and medical records. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate billing processes, managing patient accounts, and facilitating the collection of payments. We are looking to fill two roles. One is an MRI biller and the other is a Neurology biller. Duties Review and verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure accuracy in billing. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies using appropriate coding Utilize knowledge of Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) to ensure proper billing practices. Maintain organized medical records and documentation for all billing transactions. Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process effectively. Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries. Stay updated on changes in medical terminology, coding guidelines, and billing regulations. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a medical office setting. Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of DRG systems. Proficiency in handling medical records and knowledge of relevant software systems. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and insurance representatives.
