Job Description

NorthRiver Primary Care Associates is currently looking to hire a Full-Time Medical Billing Specialist located in our Billing Office.
Schedule:
36 hours per week. Applicants must be able to work Monday through Thursday from 8:00am until 4:00pm & Friday 8:00am until 12:00PM.(No Weekends)
Experience & Skills Required:
A minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience and detailed A/R processes (preferably with a primary care clinic) is required. Detailed knowledge and experience of all coding/billing/insurance processes consisting of
ICD10, CPT, HCPS
codes. Utilization of modifiers, bundling edits and claim submission. Strong knowledge of GAP closures with Medicare & Medicare HMO insurance companies. Knowledge of insurance carriers and claims specifics such as payment posting, researching and handling rejections, fee schedules, allowed amounts, timely filing limits, and deductibles/copays/coinsurance requirements. Billing reports such as collections reports, error reports, and claims rejection reports. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Knowledge of Cerner Specialty PM and PowerChart is preferred. Office equipment such as computers, fax machines, multi-line telephones, electronic calculators, printers and scanning software. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work well with the public, physicians and staff in a mature responsible manner always applying the Golden Rule. Applicants must be able to work efficiently and independently, maintaining high levels of accuracy, to ensure error-free claims. Applicants must be willing to daily approach their position with a positive teamwork attitude. We will be looking for a loyal, bright & cheery personality to join our team!
