This is an in-person position for someone who takes pride in accuracy, follows through, and understands the importance of timely billing and collections in a busy medical practice. We are looking for a candidate with strong billing knowledge, solid insurance follow-up skills, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accuracy. Position Overview The Medical Biller will be responsible for handling medical billing functions, including claim submission, payment posting review, insurance follow-up, denial management, and account resolution. This role is essential to supporting the financial health of the practice and helping ensure clean, timely reimbursement. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims accurately and timely Follow up on unpaid, denied, rejected, or underpaid claims Work claim edits, rejections, and payer correspondence Review EOBs and ERAs for accuracy Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, appeals, and payment issues Submit corrected claims and appeals as needed Review patient balances and billing-related account issues Maintain accurate documentation of billing activity and follow-up Help ensure compliance with payer guidelines and billing requirements Collaborate with providers, front office, and administrative staff to resolve claim issues Assist with A/R management and aging follow-up Support billing processes for office visits, procedures, injections, infusions, and related services as applicable Qualifications Previous experience in medical billing required Experience with insurance follow-up, denials, appeals, and accounts receivable Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance billing processes Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid/AHCCCS, and payer requirements preferred Rheumatology, specialty practice, infusion, or procedure-based billing experience is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently Professional communication skills Reliable, team-oriented, and self-motivated What We're Looking For Someone who is proactive and accountable A person who values accuracy and timely follow-up A team member who is dependable and takes ownership of their work Someone who can work well in a fast-paced medical office environment Schedule Full Time In Person Peoria, Arizona Why Join Valley Arthritis Care?
