Full Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
  • Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, DRG) to diagnoses and procedures
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of medical information
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for billing purposes
  • Stay updated on changes in medical coding regulations and guidelines
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role for 1 year or more
  • Proficient in medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-10)
  • Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health records systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
  • Familiarity with medical collections processes is a plus
