Job Description

Medical Biller (Part-Time | 2-3 Days/Week) We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our growing non-surgical spine and orthopedic regenerative medicine practice. The ideal candidate is proficient with Elation EMR , understands medical billing workflows, and is detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
Responsibilities:
Our current EMR, Elation, already has a complete billing suite included. The Medical Biller will effectively utilize the Elation Billing system to perform the following responsibilities: Submit and track insurance claims accurately and timely. Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims. Post insurance and patient payments and reconcile accounts. Verify coding accuracy and work with providers to resolve billing issues. Manage denials and appeals Call insurance companies when needed Communicate with patients professionally and clearly regarding billing inquiries and account balances Manage insurance inquiries. Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections as needed. Review A/R aging Track collection rate Generate financial reports Maintain compliance with Medicare, commercial payer, and HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to optimize revenue cycle performance.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of medical billing experience required (orthopedic, spine, PM&R, or pain management preferred). Proficiency with Elation EMR strongly preferred. Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, insurance billing guidelines and healthcare claims management Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Application Question(s): Experience with Elation EMR required
