Responsibilities:
Bill Home Health and Hospice patients and Correct Billing errors using DDE. Cancellations and EOE's. Accurately processes and bills Medicare, Medicaid, private payer, and patient claims in accordance with payer requirements and organization policy. Follow up with NGS and various Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans. Preparing ADRs as needed; TAR entry. Posting payments, as well as other duties as assigned (working closely with the intake department on pre-authorizations, and assisting with the setup and review of patient profiles). Performing completion of claims to payers and posting charges. Work on getting Contracts from HMOs and renewing contracts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must have Direct Data Entry (DDE) experience and correct Billing Errors through DDE. Strong Analytic and problem-solving skills. 1 year of related work experience. Knowledge of Axxess is preferred. Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records. Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Experience in home health or hospice. Check and run insurance. Physical strength and ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as needed.
