Responsibilities Follow up on unpaid claims, perform medical collections when necessary, and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently. Maintain comprehensive and organized medical records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards. Posts and manages patient payments Enters information necessary for insurance claims such as patient information, insurance ID, diagnosis and treatment codes and modifiers, and clinician information. Sends patient statements and collection letters Verifies insurance coverage Works with reception staff in collecting due amounts from patients and conducts eligibility checks for patients the day in advance and same day.
