This is a full-time, in-office position for a motivated professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced cardiology practice and contributing to high-quality patient care. Position Summary The Cardiology Medical Biller will be responsible for a variety of billing and patient program coordination duties, including payment posting, remote monitoring claim management, and enrollment and scheduling of patients into our Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program. The ideal candidate will have strong medical billing experience, excellent communication skills, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to interact professionally with both patients and physicians. Responsibilities Post and reconcile insurance and patient payments accurately and timely. Prepare, submit, and manage claims related to: Holter monitoring Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry (MCOT) Pacemaker remote monitoring Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) remote monitoring Follow up on claim denials, underpayments, and outstanding accounts receivable. Verify coding and billing accuracy to maximize reimbursement. Enroll patients into the Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program. Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation. Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, clinical staff, and insurance carriers regarding billing and program participation. Communicate clearly and professionally with patients regarding billing inquiries, scheduling, and program enrollment. Work closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and timely claim submission. Maintain accurate patient and billing records while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Assist with other billing and administrative duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired 2-5 years of medical billing experience. Knowledge of insurance claim processing, payment posting, and accounts receivable management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and staff. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Prior cardiology billing experience. Experience billing remote monitoring services, including Holter, MCOT, pacemaker, and ICD monitoring. Spanish-speaking ability.
