Full Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
  • Process medical claims for reimbursement from insurance companies
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for billing purposes
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations
Skills:
  • Proficient in medical billing procedures and practices
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems
  • Familiarity with medical collection processes and procedures
  • Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Understanding of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding principles
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Ability to accurately code and enter data into billing systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
