Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Medical Biller / Collections Specialist to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida. This role is responsible for accurate medical billing, claims submission, insurance follow-up, and collections to ensure timely reimbursement and optimized cash flow. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of insurance processes, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving outstanding accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance carriers for timely reimbursement Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and eligibility to ensure billing accuracyMonitor claim status and conduct follow-up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims, including appeals and resubmissions Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies by working with payers, patients, and internal teams Post payments, adjustments, and denials while reconciling accounts and ensuring proper allocationManage accounts receivable by reviewing aging reports and prioritizing outstanding balancesContact insurance companies and patients to collect payments and resolve overdue accounts Negotiate payment plans and provide billing explanations to patients as needed Maintain accurate documentation of all billing and collection activity in compliance with regulationsEnsure compliance with HIPAA and all federal/state billing and collection guidelines
