Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our dynamic dental practice team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for insurance-related processes, ensuring smooth communication between patients, insurance providers, and our office. Your expertise will help maximize patient benefits, streamline claims processing, and enhance overall practice efficiency. Duties Review and verify patient insurance information to ensure accuracy before treatment Submit dental insurance claims using appropriate coding systems such as DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes Follow up on outstanding claims and facilitate medical collections to ensure timely reimbursement Communicate with insurance companies to clarify coverage details, resolve claim denials, and obtain pre-authorizations or referrals as needed Maintain comprehensive and organized medical records in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Stay updated on changes in medical coding standards and dental insurance policies to ensure compliance Assist patients with understanding their benefits and out-of-pocket costs related to dental procedures Qualifications Proven experience in medical or dental office billing, coding, or insurance coordination Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and billing procedures Familiarity with ADA codes Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and managing medical records digitally Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with insurance providers and patients Ability to interpret complex insurance policies and explain coverage details clearly Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in documentation and coding Join us in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring efficient insurance processing!
