Medical Biller/Coder - Multispecialty Medical Practice APM Wellness - Palm Beach Gardens, FL Full-Time | Monday-Friday APM Wellness is a growing physician-owned multispecialty medical practice in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. We are looking for an organized, dependable, and knowledgeable medical billing and coding professional who can work independently in a fast-paced medical practice and play a key role in maintaining an efficient, high-performing in-house billing department. Responsibilities Submit and manage medical claims to commercial insurance, Medicare, and other payers Review claims for accuracy and completeness prior to submission Perform medical billing and coding for multiple medical specialties Follow up on unpaid, denied, and rejected claims Research and resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies Handle claim corrections, resubmissions, and appeals Monitor accounts receivable and outstanding balances Post insurance and patient payments accurately Review EOBs/ERAs and reconcile payments Identify billing issues and work with clinical and administrative staff to resolve them Maintain accurate patient and insurance information Stay current with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and payer requirements Assist with improving billing processes, collections, and overall revenue cycle performance Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information Perform other billing and revenue-cycle responsibilities as needed Qualifications Previous experience in medical billing and/or medical coding Experience working with insurance claims and payer requirements Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Experience with claim submission, denials, appeals, and accounts receivable Strong understanding of insurance verification and reimbursement processes Experience with an electronic health record (EHR) and medical billing software Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Professional, reliable, and team-oriented Experience in a multispecialty medical practice is strongly preferred Experience with Pain Management, Gastroenterology, or Primary Care billing is a plus Certification such as CPC, CCS, CPB, or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
