This isn't just a processing role; we are looking for a teammate who understands the "why" behind the data. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of revenue integrity, from charge capture and payment posting to navigating complex denials and high-level appeals.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of medical billing experience with an A/R focus Proven experience handling insurance denials and appeals Hands-on experience with Epic billing system (required) Problem solving and organizational skills Prefer someone that has worked in a high volume billing environment Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payer requirements Please online for consideration and complete the prescreening questionnaire. $22 - $23 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5

High SchoolResponsibilities Perform comprehensive A/R follow-up on insurance and patient balances Review, research, and resolve denied or rejected claims in a timely manner Identify root causes of denials and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Submit corrected claims, appeals, and supporting documentation as needed Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status, payment discrepancies, and resolution of issues Ensure accurate documentation of all account activity in the billing system Collaborate with billing team to resolve issues Maintain compliance with payer guidelines and billing regulations Cross-trained in the other billing functions and assist the department as needed.
