Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller/Coder to join our busy podiatry practice in Dawsonville near the Outlet Mall. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing patient services, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining precise medical records. Your expertise will help streamline our revenue cycle and support excellent patient care. The ideal candidate is energetic, motivated, and possesses a strong understanding of medical coding and billing procedures specific to podiatry. Salary is based upon experience in Podiatry Billing and Coding $18-$26/hour Responsibilities Review and interpret clinical documentation to assign appropriate CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes,ICD-10 codes, CPT and DME coding for podiatric services. Prepare and submit accurate claims using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies to maximize revenue. Maintain detailed and organized medical records, including coding logs, billing statements, and patient information. Stay current with updates in medical coding standards, insurance policies, and regulatory guidelines relevant to podiatry. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure precise coding for all services rendered. Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and respond promptly to insurance inquiries or patient questions related to billing. Skills Extensive knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10 coding systems, CPT and DME coding specific to podiatric procedures. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems used in medical offices for billing and record management. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy related to podiatry, and medical records management. Experience with medical billing processes, including claim submission, follow-up, and collections. Familiarity with insurance policies, reimbursement procedures, and denial management strategies. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex clinical documentation accurately. Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
