Job Description
Overview Local medical billing business seeking part time help. Possibility for position to expand to full time for the right candidate. Prior experience with medical billing is required. Duties Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims to ensure proper reimbursement. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims by communicating with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies. Maintain detailed records of billing activities, insurance claims, payments, and adjustments within billing software and EMR/EHR systems. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting, data analysis, and documentation purposes to streamline billing workflows. Skills Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10. Proficiency in medical billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with healthcare claims management processes, including submission, follow-up, and appeals. Excellent understanding of health insurance policies, medical terminology, and medical records management. Demonstrated ability in medical collection efforts and customer service skills. Familiarity with medical office procedures. Strong communication skills.
