The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical billing and coding, insurance claims processes, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. This role involves working closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure timely and accurate billing.

Responsibilities Include:

Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies. Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies. Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits. Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts. Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and providers regarding claims and billing issues. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a medical biller or in a similar role. Knowledge of billing software (e.g., Kareo, AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes. Understanding of insurance guidelines including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial carriers. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
