Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Biller/Financial Manager to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will oversee the entire billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies and patients. You will manage financial operations related to patient accounts, coordinate with healthcare providers, and optimize revenue cycle processes. Your proactive approach will help maintain financial health and improve patient satisfaction through transparent and efficient billing practices. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance providers, government programs, and patients with precision and adherence to regulations. Manage accounts receivable by tracking outstanding payments, following up on unpaid claims, and resolving billing discrepancies promptly. Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to verify patient information, coding accuracy, and documentation completeness for billing purposes. Maintain detailed records of all billing activities, payments received, denials, and appeals to ensure compliance and facilitate audits. Oversee the financial aspects of patient accounts, including payment plans, refunds, and collections while providing excellent customer service. Stay current with evolving healthcare regulations, insurance policies, coding standards (such as ICD-10 and CPT), and billing software updates to ensure compliance. Lead process improvements in the revenue cycle to maximize efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance cash flow. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare finance management with a strong understanding of insurance claim processes. Knowledge of medical billing software systems (e.g., Epic, Kareo, NextGen) and electronic health records (EHR). Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for accuracy in billing documentation. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients. Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports to support decision-making. A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment dedicated to continuous improvement.
