is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Biller to join our Optometry office team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in coding, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of billing systems, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Process and submit optical and medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients. Review patient records for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all necessary documentation is included. Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and conducting medical collections as necessary. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payments. Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Requirements Proven experience in Optical billing or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, coding (ICD-10), and billing systems. Knowledge of medical collection processes. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
