Pediatrics Office Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller / Coding Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of medical billing and coding experience and a strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes. This position is responsible for accurate claim submission, payment processing, denial resolution, and maintaining compliance with insurance and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and submit medical claims to insurance companies and government payers. Perform accurate medical coding review using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes . Ensure proper documentation supports billing and coding requirements. Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims and resolve billing issues. Research and correct claim errors to maximize reimbursement. Post payments, adjustments, and patient balances accurately. Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients regarding billing inquiries. Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections efforts. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and payer guidelines. Stay current with coding updates, insurance policies, and billing regulations. Required Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of medical billing and coding experience (REQUIRED) . Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems . Experience with insurance verification, claim submission, denials, and appeals. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance processes. Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and practice management systems. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification preferred.
