Job Description
¨ Oversee aspects of the Agency's accounts, assuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations and company policies. Perform all related account duties in a timely and accurate manner. ¨ Verify insurance authorizations and ensure the correct hours are scheduled with the assistance of each Branch Manager. ¨ Submit claims to all payers electronically or written in a timely and accurate manner. All insurances are to be billed every other week except for the payers that request monthly claims. ¨ Review remittances and re-bill denials as appropriate. Maintain current balances by collecting all past due accounts within 60 days of the denial. ¨ Review the aging report with the Executive Director on the 15th of each month. ¨ Submit the QI Medically Fragile billing report to the Executive Director by the 15th of each month. ¨ Maintain organized records following company policies and program regulations. ¨ Ensure the Agency complies with all relevant federal, state and local laws and is HIPAA compliant. ¨ Perform payroll procedures every other week. ¨ Designate a qualified employee to perform account activities in your absence and ensure he/she is familiarized with any changes as they arise. ¨ Ensure the posting staff has current EOB's to post and assist as needed.
