Job Description

Performs clerical duties pertaining to Insurance claims process as assigned. Processes and bill insurance claims for all hospital and hospital based physician bills; pursues collection of all claims until payment is made by insurance companies; and performs other work associated with the billing process. Monitor and maintain established District AR goals.

Secures needed medical documentation required or requested by third party insurances. Monitor claims for missing information and authorization/control numbers.

Process third-party insurance rejections to patients and resubmit claims as need. Follow up with third-party insurance carriers on unpaid claims.
