The biller must have a minimum of 5 years of medical billing experience, be accurate, efficient, able to work independently and take responsibility and ownership of your work, multitask as needed, be tenacious, hardworking, and a team player. Must have a very good working knowledge of Nevada insurances and must know ICD10 and CPT coding. Must understand the billing cycle thoroughly, have attention to detail, be able to carry out instructions from the physician owners efficiently and timely, and follow through and follow up on tasks independently. Must work efficiently, quickly, and accurately. Must be honest and hard-working. Billing certification and previous experience are a plus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, charge entry, contacting insurance companies and hospitals for billing information, payment posting, working denials in a timely fashion, working accounts receivable, navigating and using constructively the insurance websites, the clearinghouse, and the electronic medical records system. There is the opportunity for advancement based on experience, ability, attitude, and aptitude. Compensation is based upon experience and knowledge.
