  • Neurology Practice looking for an experienced Medical Accounts Receivable Biller.
This position is ideal for individuals interested in working in a fast-paced medical office, with a great team and secure employment. The individual selected for the position will work closely with billing staff, billing director and supervisor, medical insurance carriers, patients and other personnel to fulfill their requirements. Medical Biller - Job Requirements Minimum 2 years cumulative billing experience (Required) Knowledge of all concepts, practices, and procedures within a medical billing office Knowledge of Insurance payer clinical guidelines, to include, but not limited to Medicare LCD & NCDs Knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine, and computer Knowledge of posting charges/payments Exceptional knowledge of A/R claim follow up, appeals Must be able to extract
CPT & ICD
codes from documentation, this is not data entry only Ability to work closely with Director of Billing and Supervisor Ability to calculate & relay financial responsibility to the patient Ability to use Electronic Medical Record Systems Ability to use a computers for word processing, e-mail, etc Ability in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions Ability to organize and communicate clearly Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information Education, Experience, Training and Knowledge of the Medical Biller Medical billing: Minimum 2 years cumulative billing experience (Required) 1-2 years prior experience in medical billing A/R work (Required) 1-2 years' experience extracting cpt/icd codes from provider notes 3-4 years' experience (Preferred) Work Schedule This is a full-time position. Pay Range:
$20-$27. Pay commensurate with experience, education and certification.
