Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies, ensuring timely resolution. Maintain detailed and organized medical records related to billing transactions within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Collaborate with dental staff to clarify treatment procedures and ensure proper documentation for billing purposes. Stay current with evolving medical coding regulations, insurance policies, and billing best practices to optimize revenue cycle management. Skills Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures specific to dental practices, including familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9 and ICD-10), and DRG classifications. Proficiency in using EMR systems and EHR platforms for accurate data entry and record keeping. Excellent understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health treatments. Experience with medical collection processes, insurance claim submission, and follow-up strategies. Ability to interpret complex medical records and documentation for precise coding accuracy.
