Job Description

MEDICAL BILLER/COLLECTOR FOR LARGE NEUROLOGY PRACTICE
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in billing/collecting. Knowledge of billing Medicare, and major medical insurances are required. Experience in reading and comprehending EOBs, knowledge in CPT and ICD-10 codes, HCFA forms, and denials is a must. Knowing how to file an appeal is also required. Familiarity with Criterion's software is a plus. Should be great with time management and have excellent documentation skills, pays attention to detail, knowledge of organizing information, and general math skills. You must be able to work closely with staff to identify, resolve, and share information regarding payer trends, guidelines, and any new updates. We have a team-based billing department; you must be able to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems. An understanding and adherence to HIPPA and PHI guidelines are necessary. This is NOT an entry-level position , applicants must be able to handle all aspects of a billing/revenue cycle. Medical billing certification is a plus.
