40.0 Responsibilities Review patient charts to identify clinical requirements for authorization Contact insurance companies to obtain authorizations and benefits for office visits, procedures, and surgeries Collect deductibles or out-of-pocket maximums from patients before procedures or surgeries Navigate insurance websites to secure necessary authorizations Maintain strong data entry skills and knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft Office Suite Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with team members and insurance providers Work independently or collaboratively within a team, multitasking and managing priorities efficiently Apply at least two years of experience in medical authorization processes Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical authorization or related field Proficiency in data entry and Electronic Medical Record systems Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and organizational skills System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
