A/R Representative

We are looking for an experienced A/R Representative to join our Central Billing Office in Oldsmar Florida. Once trained, the position would move into a hybrid position, requiring to be in office one day a week. Our A/R Reps are responsible for maintaining and monitoring various Insurance carriers in support of the accounts receivable and credit process. This includes but not limited to handling patient calls, knowledge to navigate Insurance web sites, collections, explaining Insurance -patient balances, familiar with insurance adjudications, account adjustments and reporting, trending skills/Excel skills and special projects, meet quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Work the A/R Cube Report each day Work the file reject status in GE. Sort by Insurance Carrier, all dates and status of file rejected Works in Encoda Back-Office addressing the status of Reject, Error, Denied by sorting by insurance carrier, Key denial, prior month or current month. Respond or follow-up on emails received from their designated site or other inquires. Address Denial Jacket passed out each day containing Insurance correspondence, denials, and inquiries. Work the Patient Balance Report; make outgoing calls on existing outstanding patient balances. Work the outstanding Self-pay/Newborn report

Minimal Qualifications:

Education - High school diploma, GED or equivalent Job Experience - Two (2) years of medical payment posting experience. Ability to read and understand Explanation of Benefits/EOBs.
