Responsibilities Prepare and submit accurate medical claims using billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Review medical documentation to ensure proper coding with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), and ICD coding standards. Verify insurance coverage, process medical collections, and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to maximize reimbursement. Maintain detailed records of medical billing activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare claims management protocols. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve billing discrepancies promptly. Stay updated on health insurance policies, coding changes, and industry regulations to ensure accurate billing practices. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries related to billing statements and insurance claims efficiently. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding practices including

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

coding, and DRG classifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes. Experience with billing software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and healthcare claims management tools. Familiarity with health insurance processes, including verification procedures and medical collections.
