Job Description

Location:
Hybrid - In Office San Francisco 2 days per week About Psychiatric Alternatives and Wellness Center (PAWC): At PAWC, we are committed to providing top-tier behavioral health services in a compassionate, personalized setting. We focus on creating a sustainable, patient-centered model of care that emphasizes quality over quantity. We are looking for a Medical Biller who will play an essential role in ensuring the seamless management of our revenue cycle. You will be responsible for ensuring claim processing, verifying insurance information, and handling patient inquiries while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Reconcile daily insurance payments Perform insurance eligibility checks and verify benefits for patients. Address patient billing inquiries via phone, email, and patient portal with empathy and clarity. Collaborate with health plans to resolve issues related to claims, payment, and authorizations. Handle claims rejections, denials, and appeals in a timely and accurate manner. Identify revenue cycle challenges and collaborate with the team for resolution. Assist in Accounts Receivable (A/R) cleanup projects Participate in continuous process improvements to streamline billing and claims processes.
Required Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive patient information with professionalism and discretion. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities. Proficiency in computer technology, such as typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems simultaneously
Bachelor's Degree Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in high-touch customer or patient facing roles

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. How to
