Contract | Part-Time to Full-Time Hours Available About the Role We're seeking an experienced Medical Biller with a strong background in Physical Therapy billing to help us tackle a backlog of Accounts Receivable while supporting ongoing claim submission and follow-up. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving billing challenges, recovering revenue, and making a measurable impact. The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule but requires candidates to reside in the Phoenix Metro area for occasional on-site work and team collaboration. Responsibilities Work aged Accounts Receivable to maximize collections Follow up on denied, rejected, and unpaid insurance claims Submit corrected claims and appeals as needed Investigate claim issues and resolve billing discrepancies Verify payments and identify underpayments Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status Assist with daily claim submission and billing workflows Maintain accurate documentation of collection efforts Collaborate with the administrative team to improve revenue cycle performance
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience Physical Therapy billing experience is required Strong understanding of commercial insurance, Medicare, and workers' compensation billing Experience working Accounts Receivable and insurance follow-up Familiarity with claim denials, appeals, and EOBs Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must reside in the
Phoenix Metro Area Preferred:
Experience with WebPT, Prompt, or similar PT EMR/billing software Knowledge of Arizona payer guidelines CPC or other billing certification (preferred but not required) Compensation & Benefits $22-$24/hour depending on experience Flexible hybrid work environment Opportunity for additional contract hours based on performance Make a direct impact by helping improve revenue cycle performance To Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief summary of your experience with physical therapy billing and Accounts Receivable .
