Medical Biller

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. We are a multidisciplinary clinic which bills for physical therapy and acupuncture . As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies. Your expertise in medical coding and billing procedures will be essential in maintaining accurate patient records and supporting the financial health of our organization.

• Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, and other coding systems
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving any billing discrepancies or issues
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for claim submission
• Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding regulations and guidelines
• Assist with medical collections as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing/coding preferred
• Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and coding systems (ICD-10)
• Familiarity with medical office procedures and insurance claim processing
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software
