Medical Biller

Multiple positions are available:

payment posting, customer service/registration, coding and follow up Primary Duties for all

Positions:

Responsible for coding EMS transports to proper payers and maintaining accurate financial data Uses ICD 10 codes and procedures Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe Checking each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances Reviewing accounts for insurance of patient follow-up Researching and appealing denied claims Answering all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts

Skill Requirements:

Patient registration experience a plus Proficiency with computers and medical billing software Excellent typing and 10 key speed and accuracy Superior math skills Familiarity with ICD10 codes and procedures Knowledge of insurance guidelines Understanding of primary code classifications Communication skills with patients/healthcare companies Medical coding and billing schooling is a plus Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience required We provide medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401K, flexible hours and remote work opportunity after training period.
