Medical Biller / Collections Specialist (Nextech Experience Preferred)

Full-time Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller / Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance follow-up, and patient collections, with preferred experience using Nextech software. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate claim submission, timely reimbursement, and effective revenue cycle management.
Responsibilities:
Submit and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement Manage patient billing inquiries and collections activities in a professional manner Review and correct claim denials, rejections, and underpayments Work aging reports and reduce outstanding AR balances Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed Post payments and reconcile accounts accurately Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all billing regulations Collaborate with providers and office staff to resolve billing discrepancies
Qualifications:
Prior experience in medical billing and/or collections required Nextech experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of insurance claims, EOBs, and denial management Familiarity with medical terminology and
CPT/ICD-10
coding Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
Experience in plastic surgery billing Prior experience working AR aging reports Knowledge of payer portals and electronic claims submission systems
