Medical Biller

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately processing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining comprehensive medical records. Duties Review and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical documentation for accuracy before submitting claims Prepare and submit electronic and paper insurance claims using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Code diagnoses and procedures accurately using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding standards Follow up on unpaid or denied claims promptly to facilitate medical collections and resolve billing issues Maintain detailed records of medical billing transactions, corrections, and adjustments in compliance with healthcare regulations Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation for medical records and billing purposes Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines, insurance policies, and billing regulations to ensure compliance Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding (including

CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10

), and DRG classifications Proficiency with EMR systems and EHR platforms for efficient billing management Experience with medical collection processes to recover outstanding payments effectively Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in coding and documentation Ability to interpret medical records accurately for proper billing procedures Effective communication skills for coordinating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred to understand workflow dynamics Join us as a Medical Biller and play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare operations!
