Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Charge Entry Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely posting of our medical charges. Primary D uties & R esponsibilities: Posts charges received through import by correct coding guidelines. Posts charges received manually by correct coding guidelines. Review encounter tracking to ensure all billing is captured. Effectively communicates with site managers to obtain all necessary information for billing. Effectively communicates with physicians to resolve billing issues.
Qualifications :
Minimum High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of five (5) years of Medical Billing and insurance claim filing experience. Certified Coding Certification preferred. Familiarity with medical billing software.
Knowledge, Competencies & Skills:
Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD, and CPT Codes. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word Accurate and efficient data entry skills. Excellent customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer software and database skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
