COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
$88-$102 per instructional session, based on territory, experience, and certifications Monday-Friday Flexible class schedule Approximately 3 hours per instructional session 1099
Independent Contractor Start:
August 2026 ROLE IMPACT Help prepare future healthcare professionals by teaching Medical Billing & Coding in an engaging classroom environment. This flexible opportunity allows experienced coding professionals to supplement their income while making a meaningful impact on students entering the healthcare field. Complete curriculum and instructional materials are provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver engaging classroom instruction Teach ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, reimbursement, and revenue cycle concepts Prepare students for certification and entry-level careers Maintain classroom documentation Mentor students using real-world healthcare experience Foster an engaging learning environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Billing & Coding experience OR 1 year of instructional experience Active CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or another nationally recognized credential preferred FBI fingerprinting/background screening required

Revenue Cycle Management Claims Processing Electronic Health Records Insurance and Payer Guidelines Healthcare Reimbursement
PREFERRED
Teaching, mentoring, coaching, or precepting experience Excellent communication skills Ability to relate classroom instruction to real-world healthcare scenarios
