TexomaCare is comprised of primary care physicians and a variety of specialists in nine local communities. Texoma Medical Center is a 414-bed acute care facility located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. More than 3,500 employees, 400 multi-specialty physicians, and over 100 volunteers have helped to support the hospital in delivering quality, patient-focused care to the Texoma region for over 50 years. The Charge Entry Specialist is responsible for entering patient demographics, insurance information and professional charges into the health information system for services rendered by IPM and BH providers. Ensures that all information entered into the health information system is precise and accurate. Effectively reconciles charges and payments. Resolves rejections and denials that relate to demographic registration, insurance registration, authorizations/referrals, and charge capture. Independence Physician Management (IPM) , a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of
UHS. IPM
develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics that align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Qualifications Education:
  • High School Graduate/GED required.
  • Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree preferred.
Work experience:
  • Minimum of one year of experience required either working in data entry or a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in healthcare billing preferred.
Knowledge:
  • Healthcare (professional) experience in an office or billing capacity; knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 and insurances, claim submission requirements preferred but not necessary.
Skills:
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Abilities:
  • Ability to handle data entry accurately in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to reconcile data and identify discrepancies.
  • Research, and problem-solving ability.
  • Results oriented with a proven track record of accomplishing tasks within a high-performing team environment.

  • Computer, scanner, printer, phone, physical files.
