Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team at Warthan Dermatology. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding and timely submission of claims. Your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to deliver outstanding dermatological care. Do not apply unless you have at least 2 years off in office billing experience. Responsibilities Process medical billing for services rendered at the Mohs surgery center. Ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and other relevant coding systems. Review and verify patient insurance information to facilitate smooth billing operations. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies in a timely manner. Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies or issues with payers. Maintain organized medical records and documentation for auditing purposes. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing, preferably in a dermatology or surgical setting. Strong knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-10, DRG) and terminology. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
